Mac Mail does not load images; therefore, for each email, I have to go to “Load Content Directly” to able to see them. The only way I have been able to change this is by going to Settings / Network/ VPN & Filters and disabling Norton Content Filter and Norton Transparent Proxy, but this lasts just a minute or two before Norton enables these features again. If I eliminate these features completely, then Norton says it can’t continue working at all and continuously has messages appearing to reinstall the features back again… Help!
I have the same problem. this is what support at Norton says: This issue occurs if you have enabled the Mail Privacy Protection settings on your Mac. To resolve this issue, disable the Mail Privacy Protection settings and reopen your Mail application.
- On your Mac, click the Finder icon in the dock, and then click Applications in the left pane under the Favorites section.
- Find and launch the Mail application.
- At the top-left corner of your Mac, click Mail, and then click Settings or Preferences
- In the Privacy window, ensure you uncheck and disable Protect Mail Activity, Hide IP Address, and Block All Remote Contentoptions.
