I had an issue several months ago with NIS kernel panicing my laptop (15" top of line one). I was told to uninstall and reinstall as some versions were not consistent. I uninstalled but never bothered to reinstall, and recently I decided I should install again - but within 2 days it kernel panic'ed again so I uninstalled it. Is this issue likely to be resolved? Has it been resolved?
It was to do with the firewall. I will reinstall, but turn the firewall off.
