It is not. It is a seperate app.

I had been planning to ask a question about this as I had just realised that NMS does not scan files downloaded onto the phone. It only appears to do a scan when the installation takes place but this also appears to be the case whether the app comes from the Market or elsewhere. I would have been happier if they had looked at the file before it started to install but it does not appear to do so unless you schedule, or do an ad hoc, scan. But should NMS not catch apps that are downloaded by any other means when they are installed?

Thanks for the link. And I think the best way to stay safe when scanning QR Code is "do not scan QR Code randomly". I learnt this based on heavy price.
