Is this possible? Might real time two be?

thanks

I run NIS2012 and Malwarebytes together and they both work fine. I did not need to follow the procedure you outlined concerning excluding files from scanning and such. Though bear in mind that I am only running the free version of Malwarebytes which doesn't feature the active shield - I use it only for a second opinion on-demand scan. I have heard that you shouldn't have two anti-viruses running simultaneously. I would also like to know if I can safely run the paid for version of malwarebytes (with the active shield) with NIS, or will they conflict.

Malwarebytes Anti Malware free used as an on demand scanner runs fine with NIS.  It is Norton's position that only one real-time product be running on your system, thus the real-time portion of MBAM should not be run alongside Norton.

I have heard folks say they run MBAM Pro alongside Norton with no conflicts, but being from the school of thought of running only one real-time protection at a time, I do not use MBAM Pro.

IMHO, any product that the user has to make modifications to both itself (MBAM Pro) and another product (Norton) in order to make them play together nicely is of no use to me.

Thank you for answering. I could not answer before, pardon. Thank you very much

New version of mbam 4/9/12:  1.61.0.1400
