"Manage marketing pop-up notifications from Norton Applicable For: Windows"

I’m reading this article ( https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v138304110 ) with update date of 12/04/2024 and it explains how to disable “special offer” notifications, But it tells you to go to place non-existing.

" Turn off Special Offer Notifications on Norton device security for Windows

  1. Open Norton protection. If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open"

This window has no “Device Security” option

I’m trying to turn off these irritating advertising popups even though I’ve already Muted “Special Offers”. This conduct reminds me of predatory avast nagware I’ve used in the past.

yes other related posts, With ZERO answers, I’m getting the anti-track pop-ups too. What is point of muting the “special offer” notification when Norton is still aggressive and a nickel and dime predator advertiser?

@frugalfreak Check for a folder named “Avast” at this location on your HD:

If its there delete it and reboot. Lets see if that makes any changes

nope

Ok thanks for the post back. Do you see an Avast folder ANYWHERE in drive C: ? I have found it under C:\ProgramFiles\Common Files common files before.

it was there and I deleted, I rebooted, it made zero difference

So version 24.xx appears to be hard coded for this annoyance. Having reverted back to the older version, I DON’T see any of that nonsense like when I had the 24.xx release installed. 24.xx is just one huge headache the everyday user needs to avoid until 24.xx has a hot flat iron ran across it and made user friendly. That’s the best answer I can give at the present time unfortunately.
