I think, when you upload bigger files /100MB+/ to the cloud (e.g.) for sharing, it is not necessary for the owner to download/copy the file to the local folder, and have the same file twice (in the original and in the Norton Zone folder as well).
An option in the application would be nice selecting the files I want to have in the machine'a local Norton Zone folder, and maybe for the upload function a question regarding this as well (Would you like to include the file in the local folder or not).
Currently, we have some what of a workaround. You can create a brand new folder (e.g., Do Not Sync), then de-select the folder to sync to the desktop (go to Preferences > Accounts), and then every time you add files into that folder on the web it will not sync them locally on that one device (you'll have to repeat on other devices).
I'll add this into the feedback backlog. Keep the ideas coming!
Amanik's suggestion seems like a poor work-around: how can I then make sure any files I add to my local folder are uploaded?
I agree with Phil_D and PapauZ's request that I should be able to back up files from my local directory without creating an extra local copy, yet still have the ability to have files I add (or delete) to my local copy backed up (or deleted from the cloud backup).
