Yes, NPE is safe. There have been a very few reports of false positives so review carefully anything it wants to remove.

Hope this helps

Hello fjk1

NPE is not a tool that you use just to check to see if things are ok. It is a very powerful tool. And since the word Power is in the name of it, it is powerful. This tool should only be used if you have any suspicious activity going on in your computer. Some times it can find files and unless you know that they are safe by the path, there can be problems. Just a few words of caution. Thanks.

is there anything i can use to just check it out  and can play with norton well  im all about security,  just want to check to make sure

  " thanks mate"

If you want another scanner to run 'just to be safe' try the free version of Malwarebytes scanner. Be sure it's the free version. That one is Norton compatible and does a few things differently so you aren't duplicating all of your efforts. I keep a copy on my system as a 'just in case'.

Running a quick or full scan with your copy of 360 at any time should not hurt anything on your system.

Hope this helps
