I downloaded a adobe product and McAfee was attached to it and couldn’t be removed by Norton tech support after they took control of my PC and tried to remove it. Ive tried everything mentioned that I could find on the web on how to remove it and nothing works. I thought Norton antivirus would catch it , but apparently I was wrong. I dont see the point of paying for Norton anymore since it doesnt work and tech support is horrible. Ill probably have to buy another computer now.

Norton did not miss anything. From the images in bjm_'s post above, you did not see the checkmark beside the 'Optional McAfee Security Scan Plus".
