My firewall is inhibiting my Denon AVR from media sharing with Windows Media Player. I believe I have Norton configured to recognize and trust the device as part of my LAN. I think the problem is with the UPnP. Through my various attempts to make things work I changed SSDP Discovery, UPnP and Windows Player Network Sharing all to 'automatic'. I presume that's correct. So, I think the problem lies in the message from my security history for each time my AVR tries to find the media player. Here's the capture from Norton's security history:
