Microsoft IE 8 and Windows 7 problem accessing https://www.mynortonaccount.com web site...

This is very odd, but I cannot use Internet Explorer 8 to browse to “https://www.mynortonaccount.com” I get a blank page, but Firefox and Google have no problem browsing to that URL. What gives? Is Symantec doing this on purpose? They scanning the UserAgent header from the browser and intentionally not allowing IE 8 to browse the “https://www.mynortonaccount.com website” ? I also tried 'http://www.mynortonaccount.com" and “http://www.mynortonaccount.com” and nothing works. My /etc/hosts file is empty, so there’s no misleading redirects going on at that level, of course, that would affect all browsers, but I am just saying that to lead on that I do know something about Windows Networking LOL. Anyhow, what gives? I purchased and successfully installed Norton AntiVirus on a Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (RTM) and began testing / evaluating stability of current software and this is not what I would have ever expected. Norton AntiVirus 2010 runs nicely on Windows 7, but you cannot open the Norton Account form the browser if IE 8 is your default browser? I sware someone is doign something at Norton, as my other Windows 7 workstations behave identically.
