I knew this for quite some time now. Firefox had not been supporting it, and on Chrome you have to give permission, but soon Chrome will eliminate it also. The question is: what is there to replace it? YouTube embed used to be Flash, but not anymore. Any of the old embed codes are now just a blank space on your older blogs. The new YouTube embed is a Java script within a frame. My social network on Ning eliminated Flash 2 years ago, but did not replace it with anything that works (Slide show embedding). Flickr used to have embedded Flash slide shows, but hid the application a long time ago already - there was a hack how to get it, but once all browsers have eliminated Flash, it won't work anymore. Flickr has a embeddable slide show as a HTML5, but it is not automatic, you have to advance the frames by hand.
I usually install the latest versions but have Flash disabled in my browsers.
In the past the NOAA Satellite site used Flash but they now have GIF views.
