Microsoft May 2017 malicious Software Removal tool

Anyone know if Microsoft updates  released a second edition of Malicious Software Removal tool for may 2017? I received one with the may updates and then seemed to have received a second one about 10 days later. Both show as successfully installed.

From the MS TechNet article Customer Guidance for WannaCrypt attacks:

Update 5/22/2017: Today, we released an update to the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT) to detect and remove WannaCrypt malware. For customers that run Windows Update, the tool will detect and remove WannaCrypt and other prevalent malware infections. Customers can also manually download and run the tool by following the guidance here. The MSRT tool runs on all supported Windows machines where automatic updates are enabled, including those that aren’t running other Microsoft security products.

Kudos to Woody Leonhard for posting this information today on his AskWoody site at The “new” XP patch KB 982316 is a dud, but the new MSRT is for real.

On a side note this update just installed a few minutes ago KB3150513 and was previously installed as well.

I received that one yesterday on my Win 7 and on my Win10 installations.

Hopefully updating some of the recent malware alarms.

g_arm KB890830 was released 5/09/2017, then the same released again 5/23/2017. More than likely to correct some bug in the original release. I have them both installed without seeing any issues.
