Running Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit, fully updated; Microsoft Office 365; Norton Security w/ BU
Everything was running just fine. No recent changes made to system.[except for the Windows 10 "nag notice" in my taskbar which appeared about the time this issue started]
Sometime, maybe Sunday night or Monday morning, my Outlook program would not receive mail [from a POP3 server]. Error code: '0x8004210A' [Outlook Error]. All day on Monday I could not retrieve my mail. I contacted my ISP and was no told that there was mail on my server that Outlook was not downloading. I have no other Internet-related issues.
So, I turned off NS e-mail scanning. No mail. Turned of NS anti-spam. Voila. Mail received. I thought maybe a NS update had broken something, so I ran a manual Update & a couple of things installed - don't know what. I turned the NS features on again and I still received mail, so I figured those updates fixed the problem.
Early this morning [Tuesday], all was still working. Then, suddenly, not. I turned off the anti-spam. No good. Turned off the e-mail scanning for 15 min. Mail flowed. After 15 min, scanning turned back on and mail STILL flowed. I have left the ant-spam feature off.
What's up?
