I found a download page for a PC Manager by a company called Microsoft: https://apps.microsoft.com/en-gb/detail/9pm860492szd When I download the .exe installer. Norton declares it to be unsafe and removes it. Is this app real? Has it been released? You can't find it in the on board Microsoft Store and even the link on the page above starts the store button the page has no download button (that I can see).
Do you think this is the correct behaviour for Norton? (Or for that matter for Microsoft?).
I am somewhat puzzled.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
C. J.
(No technical details given. I don't think that's necessary in this case.)
I found a way round this by using WingetUI to install Microsoft PC Manager Beta. I think I saw a suggestion to use Winget as an installation option and just followed it. No complaints about the download. It's a solution for me, but it doesn't fix the policy. Does that make sense?
