Miner.bitcoinminer activity 7 on bootup

Hi,

So I’ve recently noticed that everytime my PC boots up, I get a notification from Norton 360 of a miner.bitcoinminer activity 7 which it stops and deletes. I then run powereraser which finds nothing.

Problem is everytime I restart or turn on my PC, the message comes back and again nothing comes up on power eraser. I’m not accessing any sites which could cause issues. If I’m honest I barely use my PC for website browsing. I tend to just use it for gaming.

There’s something on my PC that’s not getting detected. Was wondering if you could all help me in complete removal of it.

If a full system scan with your Norton product finds nothing, I would suggest a second opinion scan using the FREE version of Malwarebytes. You can find it here https://www.malwarebytes.com/premium/
