Now (22-Mar-2011) originally GMER.exe (1.0.15.15565) downloaded from gmer.net and unpacked with UPX detected by SONAR as malware.
SONAR or heuristic WS.Rep.1, Cloud.x, or other - no matter...
at least one of last:
plz fix WS.REPUTATION.1
Why all unknown positive detections are not AUTOMATICALLY submitted to Symantec to futher analysing to add them to black or white list or other? Why Users must do it manually? Is it Users work or AV Product work?
Detected unknown threat? - If Norton Communy Watch is On than Submit it automatically and analyse them by AV company!
(I turned it on always and now since for a few months in "Detailed Submissions Always" mode and so nothings changed - Heur. and SONAR detected threats are not submitted automatically)
Many users have no time for submitting, or just do not want to find links for it, fill up message form, for the time of sending to turn off their AV products.
So many reasons are:
logical - it is AV product work, not Users!;
practical - usually Users have no time or/and wish to do it and in all ways company lost their reputation - viruses are still not blacklisted, good files are still detected as malware. And this will be last forever, until time of skilfully changes will come!
Can Symantec think about it or not?
Effectiveness just like in picture bellow:

So many time I lost here to take at least small effects into already not bad products (but just a few of them comes to real)... wasting of time in attemping to improve products.
Or work on Symantec and offer changes directly inside Company or... or nothing - contributing is not effective.
to complete topic: gmer.exe file will be submitted in a few minutes
