I just installed Norton Internet Security (I have had it in the past) and have noticed that the icon is missing from my Desktop. How do I get it back?
on the bottom right hand side of my computer, I usually have a little icon of 2 computers with a globe between them. This usually indicates if I'm connected to the internet. This is now gone, though I am connected to the internet. Anyone know how I can get this icon back?
Hi, I am officially a newbie so please be gentle with me!! I used to get an icon on the desktop that was green and said Norton Secure. I have just noticed that this has disappeared. Can anyone explain in simple terms how to get it back again? I am using NIS 2011 and windows 7 Many Thanks Tony
Try the solution from the following Symantec KB:

Hi, all now sorted!!
Many Thanks
The Norton shortcut is not created in the last couple of versions of the Norton products.
All you need to do to open the Norton UI is to click on the Norton icon in the system tray at the bottom right of your screen.
What I don't understand is why on the PC I have with Windows Vista I was able to move the Norton Icon from the Startup menu to the desktop but on my PC with Windows 7 I can't do that. All I can do is create a shortcut not move the icon to the desktop.

Have you tried to copy the startup icon instead of moving it?
No I haven't yet tried that. How do I copy the Startup icon?
