I use the latest Norton 360 and Firefox 21. I cannot see Norton Toolbar in my FF Extensions and have tried all of the following:
1) Complete removal of 360 using Norton Removal Tool follwed by reinstall
2) Complete removal of FF 21 and then systematically removing all folders that Mozilla installed on hard disk and in Registry
3) Tried to manaully add these extensions in the extensions.ini with the following:
[ExtensionDirs]
Extension1=C:\ProgramData\Norton\{0C55C096-0F1D-4F28-AAA2-85EF591126E7}\N360_20.3.0.36\IPSFFPlgn
Extension2=C:\ProgramData\Norton\{0C55C096-0F1D-4F28-AAA2-85EF591126E7}\N360_20.3.0.36\coFFPlgn
4) I have repeatedly manually updated using Live Update and rebooted.
5) I also noticed that in MSIE 9 I see the version of the Toolbar that I have is not the latest. I have 2013.3.3.19 but I read that 2013.3.5.1 is the latest that supports FF 21. Still think I should at least see the toolbar in extensions.
So it appears that Live Update for me is NOT getting the latest toolbar nor is my system allowing this to appear in Extensions.
Help is greatly appreciated, esp after a 90 minute remote session with Norton Tech Support did not resolve the issue.
