So, here is the basic premise. Prior to installing Norton, I had three computers(Windows 7) (Receptionist, Lawyer1, and Lawyer2).
Receptionist has the following: Shared folder on hard drive and a printer shared. Lawyer 1 and 2 mapped a network drive(P:) to the share and full access control. They also mapped a network printer.
Now, I install Norton IS on all three computers.
Network share no longer connects, and printer no longer works. I went into all three computers and set up a FULL trust of all three computers in the Network Map (tried by MAC address and IP). No joy
Turned off FIREWALL on all three computers. No joy
PING no longer works. Destination unreachable
I am missing something stupid. After the firewall is turned off I expected it all to work again. What else was changed?
