More Norton Shenanigans

Before my main gripe, I will start with this. I previously had three accounts on here, two of which have been critical of Norton’s underhand practices. Strangely, I was unable to log into two of these accounts. I was presented with a message informing me that the passwords were incorrect (the weren’t). I assumed if these passwords were reset by Norton for some reason, I would’ve received an email informing me. I did not. I requested a password reset link, but I didn’t receive one. Now this is where is gets really bizarre - I was able to successfully log into an old account that didn’t make any criticisms of Norton! Make of that what you will.

Now to my main complaint. Today I was presented with the attached screen. There are two buttons on the screen, but only one works. Can you guess what one it is? If you guessed ‘See my offers’ then congratulations! Yes, clicking ‘X’ to get out of this screen didn’t work. I tried clicking ‘See my offers’ and was taken to a payment section. I was still unable to exit this screen, presumably until I entered payment information. The only way to get rid of this screen was to reboot my system. My subscription doesn’t end until later in the year. Not that I could tell from the software, which used to inform me how many days I have left.

I like to get my money’s worth, so I’ll be sticking with my subscription until it expires. I will most certainly not be sticking with Norton after all the nonsense I have experienced, especially since the Gen Digital days. It can’t come soon enough.
