MorphVOX Jr. Wont Uninstall

Okay, I was just cleaning up my computer, uninstalling programs I never use and such, and I found MorphVOX Jr. I tried to uninstall, but it just gave blank errors. I tried to uninstall again by selecting 'Change', but it disabled Norton for a second! So, I did a NPE scan, it found no risks, which was weird. I looked up screamingbee.com on SafeWeb, it was a MALICIOUS SITE. So, I knew 100% that it was a virus. I had installed it a while ago, forgot about it, and I guess I didnt know it was a virus. I hadn't had any problems... Anyways, I hadnt installed it from screamingbee.com, I used SoftTonic, which is (probably?) safe, and when I installed Norton gave the OK. So, now back to what's happening right now. I searched ScreamingBee on my computer and found some files related to MorphVOX. So, I attempted to delete, but it said I didnt have permissions. So I changed permission settings for all of the files and was able to delete them. I was pretty happy, yet when I looked back on the 'Programs' in Control Panel, MORPHVOX WAS STILL LISTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tried uninstalling, to no avail. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me.

And, do you think my computer is safe to use? Because I'm getting really paranoid. The file for Screaming Bee in Program files x86 has been deleted. The installer has been deleted. Everything is deleted, but it doesnt show. I'm getting scared.

Help me!

Hi wolvesstar97,

If this program has been installed on your computer for a long time, and was never detected by an AV scan, I think you can safely assume that the program is not malicious.  Also, you cannot use the reputation of a site as confirmation that a particular file or program is dangerous - especially if you did not even acquire the software from that site.  The problems encountered trying to uninstall the program may be due to other things - they are not prima facie indicators of malware, either.

Hello Wolvesstar97,

If you have already deleted the files of that program without uninstalling, then it might end up in deleting the uninstaller of the application also. Henceforth since you said you have deleted the files, there could be no chance for a virus. Inorder to remove the program completely from the registry and a perfect removal, you can try installing back again and try un-installing it, so that the program would be removed completely.
