because some little problem after Comcast upgraded the modem I had trouble downloading games from a site. The real reason I am concerned is Norton is doing really bad on Av comparatives. Why are you doing so bad and is your score against viruses going to be any better?
I am using Comcast's Norton 360 (Norton Security Suite). Thank you.
They are both fine products. Avira has much better signature detection, but Norton has more layers of protection, and can recognize malware by other means than just signatures and behaviour. It also has an extensive reputation system and one of the best behaviour blockers in the business. Moving away from pure signature detection and relying more on a comprehensive total package is the future, and Norton is at the forefront there. How many pieces of malware a software can detect by right-clicking a folder full of malicious samples does not say much about how well it will protect a user in a real-world scenario.
Hi,ffwfire. Just to add to what Bombastus said, I think that Norton will serve you well, and if you have any problems this forum is one of the best around, for getting help with any issues you may encounter.
