Moving from NIS 2011 to NIS 2012

Allen or Send of jive or others who have helped me over the years

Ok with all  the great support and help, I realized that staying with NIS 2011 does not keep me safer and that all the main bugs of 2012 have been fixed.

So with that said, I intend to move on to 2012 (I'll give 2013 sometime to work things out)

So, as always I prefer to install from a disk. I know that will require more updating, but I just prefer the disk.

I have some questions first about the installation process of NIS 2012

I'm thinking that my PC should be able to handle NIS 2012 and that NIS 2012 should be able to run on my PC

Vista Home Premium 32 bit Vista SP 2

IE 8 browser

here are some questions that I have, and maybe responses can be connected

to each question so I don't confuse myself? :smileyhappy:

1. Do I need to remove NIS 2011 via the add/remove programs feature of Vista and run the NRT?

Or can I install NIS 2012 over NIS 2011?

2. I have two accounts on my PC- Admin Acct and limited user account.

Do I need to be logged in as the admin account for the installation process?

3. I know one must disconnect from the internet during the installation process.

Should I disconnect the wire from the PC to the router at the connection point on the router

or the connetion point of the PC?

4. At times in the past after installation and after all updates were received, I ran the one click support  just to make

Sure everything was cool. Is it ok to do that?

5. Are there any changes  I need to do with my router to make NIS 2012 work ok?
