Mozilla Firefox

How do I add Norton 360 toolbar to Firefox?  I installed N360 before installing Firefox and now I don't know how to get the toolbar into Firefox. It does not appear on any Firefox menu I can find.

The same goes for Google Chrome.

TIA!

i think second one you reported is something of issue with firefox itself. the process is not being flushed out immediately upon closing/exiting from UI. I sometime times face this issue.

Error msg:

//

Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system.

//

the error msg you;re getting is above mentioned then please kill [firefox.exe] process from windows task manager and launch it next time without restarting machine.

regarding the first issue, could you please post an error message screen shot?

Hi guyes/girls. Thanks for the help last time. New problem.

  • When ever I exit my Modzila browser I get a message that some thing is trying to prevent my connection from Norton
  • when I close my mozilla browser on some applications and try and re-start, I get an error message " Modzilla still open. Close application. When checking with windows to close the program, I find nothing running. I have to re-start my computer to access Mozilla again.

Is there an undetected virus causing this? Please help if you can.

Thanks for replying.  I'm using Norton as my Search Engine [which is probably different from an internet browser].  I'll leave Mozilla Firefox on just in case ...

Thanks again

Norton is not an internet browser, so I am not sure what browser you are actually using.  It could be Mozilla Firefox, which IS a browser.  The Mozilla Maintenance Service is an update application for Firefox that lets you skip having to click "yes" when updating the browser.  Mozilla has nothing to do with security, so you can safely uninstall Firefox and the Maintenance Service.  But first, I would make sure Firefox is not your browser.  It is also perfectly fine to leave the Mozilla products installed -- they are not a risk.
