Firefox 101 Stable: security fixes and classic download behavior restored.   https://www.ghacks.net/2022/05/31/firefox-101-stable-security-fixes-and-classic-download-behavior-restored/

Hi ALF60:

Thanks for the link to Martin Brinkmann's ghacks.net article Firefox 101 Stable: Security Fixes and Classic Download Behavior Restored.  As Martin noted in that article, there's nothing mentioned in the FF v101 release notes at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/101.0/releasenotes/ about Mozilla restoring the "classic" download behaviour by adding a new option at Settings | General | Files and Applications | Applications | What Should Firefox Do With Other Files?.  From my FF v101 settings:

--------------
Dell Inspiron 5584 * 64-bit Win 10 Pro v21H2 build 19044.1706 * Firefox v101.0.0 * Microsoft Defender v4.18.2203.5-1.1.19200.5 * Malwarebytes Premium v4.5.9.198-1.0.1689 * Macrium Reflect Free v8.0.6758

Select Firefox Menu > Help > About Firefox to display the installed version of the browser. Firefox runs a check for updates when the window opens to download and install any update that it finds.
