Problem is that the activity log just shows rundll32.exe, so it doesn't show what program is using it. In my task manager even with all users clicked, it just shows two instances. I'd hate to close it out and mess something up.
Might a Norton staffer look at this issues with us?
I know I have posted about multiple instances of rundll32.exe attempting to access te internet at the exact same time. I was told that is not a problem and I agree. However, I noticed the other day the following activity on my activity log. All three of these ran one right after the other
9:15:12pm an instance of c:\programfiles\nortonantivirus\navw32.exe is attempting to access the internet
9:14:23pm an instance of c:\programfiles\nortonantivirus\navw32.exe is attempting to access the internet
9:14:12pm an instance of c:\programfiles\nortonantivirus\navw32.exe is attempting to access the internet
Seems odd that 3 insatnces would attempt, which leads me to my "stutter theory". Anyone notice this behavior in their activity logs?
I doubt a virus or malware would try to run an instance of NAV
Might a Norton Staffer look at this when they have a moment?

You know i would be concerned a little if i were seeing multiple instances of that "generic exe" rundll32.exe
It may be you do have a spyware masquerading as a common exe-
If i dont have prog open right in front my eyes to explain an instance of rundll32.exe i shut it down immediately search for it scan it
quarentine it i can.
I wouldn't be all that concerned about c:\programfiles\nortonantivirus\navw32.exe because i see that in the logs display too, LuComs~1.exe runs constantly on my system which is a shared symantec exe, some of my other software use lucallbackproxy.exe to report operating conditions of 3d software i'm using, Bryce3D DazStudio Photoshop and pre adobe Macromedia suite all use lucallbackproxy.exe when i'm running these packages/suites.
Just let you know your not alone observing these activities.
