Do you use N.I.S.? If so, what one are you using, e.g. N.I.S. 2009?
Also, what O.S., S.P. are you using?
Do you get any Error Messages? If so, what are their number(s)?
NIS is 2006 OPS is Windows XP Service pack 2 No error messages as nothing happens after down load is complete
Please Upgrade to N.I.S. 2009. It has lots of new Features added and will likely Fix your Issue. You can use your N.I.S. 2006 Product Key, I am sure, on the N.I.S. 2009. Download the Trailware from the symantec Online Store! Just remember to change the Online Store your you location, e.g. Spain, Italy, China, U.K. & Ireland, e.t.c… Let me know if you plan on doing this.
I will try and load NIS 2009 tomorrow morning, it’s getting late here about 12.30am
I have just remembered that my NIS 2006 has down loaded all the live updates until i installed Norton ghost 14 about two (2) weeks ago. I think my problem is related to that.
I would advise the same, uninstall your NIS06, then download NIS09 from here, and install it.
Let us know if it fixes the problem, thanks.
Just thought I would mention that people seem to be having problems with Norton SystemWorks and Norton Internet Security 2009, whereby, the Norton Protection Center in Norton SystemWorks, it shows/pop-ups saying that there is no Anti-Virus Software installed and may turn on Windows' Firewall. If that does happen, I would suggest that when the Next Version of Ghost comes out, that you Upgrade to that.
Also, the link that johna provided is for the U.S. only; if you are not from the U.S., please remember to change the Store Location to where you are, un-less you want to install the Trailware for N.I.S. 2009.
