Problem summary:
After upgrading to Windows 10, my Norton 360 for Gamers license is not showing.
Detailed explanation:
I recently purchased a 1-year subscription for Norton 360 for Gamers and my license was automatically activated when I was using Windows 11. However, after installing Windows 10 on my computer, my subscription disappeared and now I only see the 90-day trial version. My credit card was charged but my license is not active.
Product and version number:
Norton 360 for Gamers, latest version
Operating system details:
Windows 10, 64-bit
What is the error message you are seeing?
The subscription is not showing, only the trial version is active.
To clarify. You downgraded your Windows 11 to Windows 10 and now you only show a trial subscription.
How did you do the Win 10 install? If you used the computer manufacturer’s system restore feature, that probably installed a trial Norton version that came with the computer when new. Click on the user icon at the top right of the Norton screen and sign into your Norton Account. That should sync your product and activate it.
It is already in my account and it is not working, I will buy it again if that happens because I am paying money and getting 3 months for 1 year, what is this?
When you upgrade or change your computer’s operating system, you generally have to reinstall your security software. You can start by logging into your Norton Account and clicking on My Subscriptions at the top right. Then scroll to your current 360 Gamer’s subscription and click on Download. Choose to Install on this device and let the download commence. Once downloaded, run the installer. It should recognise your current installation and will remove it if necessary and then install the current product. This installation should show the full remaining time for your subscription.
@Mayar_Bayazid To better assist, please answer the previous questions we asked:
As I understand your initial post, you upgraded a computer to Windows 10? Was that a typo on your part where you meant Windows 11?
But you then said:
I recently purchased a 1-year subscription for Norton 360 for Gamers and my license was automatically activated when I was using Windows 11. However, after installing Windows 10 on my computer, my subscription disappeared and now I only see the 90-day trial version
So to be accurate, what version of Windows are you NOW using on the affected computer? Windows 10 or 11? You suggest that you downgraded and installed Window 10 on the same computer. We are confused a bit.
Did you follow the suggestions Guru peterweb suggested? If so what were your results?
