Hello,
I had significantly increasing problems after version 22.23.10.10 up to version 22.24.7.8
My system:
Edition: Windows 11 Home
Version: 23H2
Operating system build: 22631.4169
Performance: Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1034.0
Error 1 (after version 22.23.10.10):
After starting the PC, a SONAR autofix error appears, which can be eliminated with the autofix.
Error 2: (after version 22.23.10.10)
During operation, a message appears later that the behavior-based protection is no longer working. This error can be resolved by turning Auto-Protect off and on again.
Error 3: (after version 22.23.10.10)
Manually turning off behavior-based protection does not trigger an alarm. (Switch does not work). This error cannot be resolved at all. This is actually a really good test to check the full functionality of N360.
Error 4: (from version 22.24.2.6)
After starting the PC, no context menus appear when you right-click the N360 icon in the taskbar. The scan and backup buttons do not work either. This error can be resolved by logging out and logging back in to the Microsoft account (Windows Hello).
Error 5 (probably from version 22.24.5.6, very critical):
After using Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool, it may be that during the installation of N360 the icon either does not appear in the taskbar at all or is completely inoperable when clicked. The same problem also occurs when you want to open N360 in the start menu. The only thing that really helps here is a new installation, sometimes several times, until it works.
As a temporary solution, I had deleted the license for the corresponding PC in my account from time to time. This meant that Microsoft Defender took over the protection. LiveUpdate was still possible to detect a product update if necessary and to reactivate the license to check whether it had worked. The big advantage of this procedure is that you don’t have to keep reinstalling your N360 product, which often ended with error 5.
Otherwise, I can only hope that the latest version 24 will be rolled out for you as soon as possible.
Stay tuned and hold on!!!
