When I try to access MyNortonAccount.com using DSL it always comes up as a broken link. This is true for both my desktop and my laptop. HOWEVER, when I use dial-up via the modem in either computer, the connection works fine. The only other site I've ever discovered that displays this behavior is (sometimes) one for an Experian site.
The two computers use the same DSL modem, a Speedstream 4100, and router, a Linksys WRT55AG via ethernet. I can get to the WRT55AG settings via my browser and don't find any settings that might cause this effect. (Turning off the firewall doesn't change anything.) I can't find the DSL modem on my browser -- the default IP 192.168.0.1 doesn't work. But looking at the manual, the only way I see that it can discriminate is if you enter specific words to be discriminated against. The two URLs don't look anything alike and don't seem to have anything in common except the .com.
Does anybody have an idea what might cause this wierd behavior?

Thanks, dbrisendine, but the mystery deepens. I called the ISP (ATT) and they asked me to connect my computer directly to the dsl modem, leaving the router out of the loop. When I did that, I was able to see the modem at http://192.168.01, set a username and password, and save to the modem. (I hadn't realized I needed to be connected directly to the modem to see it.) Then I tried http://www.mynortonaccount.com which came up immediately and allowed me to log in. The ATT guy said he had seen this problem before and I should contact Linksys. Rerouting the ethernet cables through the router still results in a broken link to mynortonaccount, but now I have two ways to get to the account, so the mystery is even more academic, but still a mystery.

Sometimes i won’t be able to access My Norton Account by writing “mynortonaccount.com”, but instead searching for it at google and clicking it works fine. Then i found out that i had to write http://www.mynortonaccount.com, to connect to the website. That worked for me…
Clicking a googled link doesn't work for me, Salihb. I usually type "mynortonaccount" and then Ctrl-Enter in the URL window which adds the http://www. and the .com and then searches DNS for that. But none of these approaches works for this particular URL.
