I have been using NAV since the early Peter Norton days, It generally is WAY better than any competing program I can find for day-day protection...though it does miss some critters (my history elsewhere in this forum). Since Symantec took over the business, I have had several business-related issues with Norton AV, the most annoying is reinstalls both before or after it expires. I now have a lot of PCs in our house, so to save money, I buy the 3-packs and most recently the 5-pack.
1. With all the info Norton keeps in your computer and on theirs re your registration, why can't they add 365 days to your existing subscription instead of throwing away any remaining time on your existing subscription?
2. And a second question...why does using one installation from a 5-pack begin a the clock on all 4 remaining unused installations?
These two really bug me...in my book I bought 5 installs of 356 days, yet I just threw away 98 days on one of my PCs and 20 on another because it was convenient to do those today AND my other unused installs are now wasting away without being installed yet!
