No I haven't. I'm waiting for a solution before I run Restore. It will remove it. At least it did once. If not I will try safe mode.
Thanks!
Dave
Ran some online tools and it sorta starts now.
Is there a newer version than 2008? I ran liveupdate.
Thanks anyways.
Hello,
we are having similar problems after trying to install NAV 2008 a month ago. It would not install on a 4 year old XP box which already has NAV 2007. Now it won't uninstall, and we spent many hours with tech support trying to get something done. Had caught an "Antivirus 2008" virus, and think that is gone now. Any help you have to offer would be appreciated.

Fresh XP install
Setup:
Intel Essential board D865Gsa
P4 3.0Ghz
1Gb dual PC3200
WDC 36Gb system drive ide
Maxtor 8Gb secondary drive ide
Left 8Gb unallocated on WDC drive for software raid0 with Maxtor.
Installed XP and SP2 OK
Installed NAV OK
Installed SP3 OK
NAV OK
Converted system drive to dynamic to setup raid0. Didn't setup raid yet.
NAV won't start
Popups:
ccApp won't initialize properly...
osCheck won't init...
On boot:
uiStub2 won't init...
Can't uninstall NAV
Norton removal tool won't either.
Tech support tried remote control last night and failed to find solution. Blamed it on SP3. So I installed NAV before SP3. This was before I discovered the dynamic disk conversion connection. I've been through this several time over the last few days. Pulled an all-nighter. Whew!
Sent email to support.
Posted this to vent while waiting the 72 hrs.
All replies are appreciated!
Thanks,
Dave

I would recommend that you follow the steps listed in the How To Troubleshoot a Suspected Malware Infection announcement if you feel that your system might be infected still.
I'm a bit confused; so you got the product to install? What changed? And now that it is installed, it can't be removed? Have you tried using the Norton Removal Tool, mentioned by Stu? I apologize for the numerous questions; any additional information you can provide is appreciated.
Have you tried the NRT Tool in safe mode?
