Hi rika

To change the password on a user account, go to control panel, user accounts, change password.  Write the new password down somewhere so you can reference it if you need to?

The size of the data on the bootable recovery DVD-RW is 1.16gb, but on a flash drive there is the ability to save updates.

Rika, try this link for the Norton Bootable Recovery Tool. I think this is the one you need, since you're running NIS

those things i know the question was if u can create and delete or change passwords of users from comand prompt in Nbrt

since NBRT is a bootable recovery tool just asking if u can do more with it from command prompt not just using it to scan  with NPE

i know that u can save move create delete files and folders , but is there more that u can do with it or not ?

cos trying "net user  /add" command there only creates an account on MININT computer not on wich u trying to fix

so wonder what other comands don't run that way or maybe i just don't know how to use that

Hi, rika. I'll try to get an answer for you.

You mean so that anyone with a NBRT CD could boot any windows system and change the passwords, or add a new administrator acount to access any system?

If that is what your asking then the answer is no.

The NBRT is built open WIndows PE, basically a windows recovery or startup repair disk.  Microsoft only lets you make those changes from a logged on administrator account and not from a PE disk ran "outside" of the installed version of Windows.
