NDNS filtering policy modified

I keep getting the following message from Norton DNS, about a website I have used for years! I do not know why it is now filtering this website, and I cannot find a way to turn it off in NDNS. How do I change the webcontent filtering policy? I do not see any place to change the configuration of NDNS.

Warning! Accessing this Web site is NOT allowed.

You attempted to access: member.onemodelplace.com

This is a known "Lingerie" web site which is blocked as specified by your web content filtering policy.

I also been getting messege of "web sharing"?  I just started to receive it today.  I use Norton DNS for malware protection, not to censor myself.

Agreed! My problem just started today as well. Maybe some Norton update since yesterday... There are a number of websites that are blocked today. I cannot see anything as far as Configuration for the NDNS, only the log file and Help.

I am getting same issue today and have checked site on Norton Safe Web search and it is shown with a Green Tick as ok but DNS blocking and saying due to my filters but can not see how to check my filters.  totally confused.

Hi,

Please Open the "Blocked By Categories" tab online and edit the categories of the websites that are selected to be blocked.

Thanks,

Katie

sorry but i can not find this tab, where is it online?  Is this under DNS or Norton 360?  Both were set up online at renewal by the Customer Services Help desk and I can not see where to go

@katie, I do not believe I have anything like that.  I use Norton DNS through my router.  I currently do not have any Norton Software on any computer.

Hello Today Norton DNS Blocks File sharing category web sites that I don’t select them to block. Is something wrong with Norton DNS? Regards

Hi,

Have you previously configured a content filtering policy on nortondns.com?  If so, are you able to log back in to confirm that your policy settings are correct (i.e. file sharing is unchecked)?

Thanks!

Matt

Hi

I want to unblock a site

Norton DNS is blocking this site http://www.egotastic.com/

I want to unblock a site too..... I can't even check my lottery numbers any more

apparently that's blocked because I've set gambling sites to be blocked..... which I haven't.

Hi,

Please Open the "Blocked By Categories" tab online and edit the categories of the websites that are selected to be blocked.

Status Update:

We've begun reverting the changes which need to be deployed across multiple servers. We will update again when this is complete with any additional steps that may need to be taken.

We again apologize for this inconveneince. Please know that we're making this a top priority to resolve as quickly as possible.

This issue should now be resolved. If you are still seeing the issue where Norton DNS is blocking sites in error, we recommend that you do the following:

- close and reopen all browser windows

- delete your browser caches

- flush your system cache (ipconfig /flushdns)

Not sure why, but it seems to be working OK again! I wish I knew what caused it in the frist place...

Since up above KhanhT said, "We've begun reverting the changes which need to be deployed across multiple servers." It sounds to me like someone made changes on Norton's end that screwed everything up and needed to be fixed.
