I use NIS and just purchased the NIS 2009. I have 4 computers and you can only use the same serial on 3. I'm wondering if there is anyone that also purchased NIS 2009 but isn't in need of using it 3 times and would be willing to allow me to use your serial for my 4th computer?
It would be greatly appreciated as I love the product and can't afford to buy another box/upgrade. Thanks!

Thanks for the response. I knew about buying the additional keys (I called them thinking it would cost maybe $10), but I cannot afford another $50 as we may have no income here shortly due to the military making my husband retire due to medical reasons (and I cannot work due to medical reasons). Plus, I think it’s ridiculous to pay the same price just for one more computer.

I know that... But I'm not sure if anybody will/can give you an extra code... :( :(
Shanti my dear Indian friend…it’s very hard to get product key from somebody who have paid lot and how he/she will give you freely…even the bill gates…will think twice…it is costly…me and my frnd always buy norton as i am college going person so my two frnd and me buy 3-user pack and it becomes so cheap to us…if you are not getting key or you want to protect your pc than why don’t you go to free available software like avira…and avg…avast…they have good detection and if your system is clean…than they will definitely protect you from all nasty threats…You should consider free software…as due to you personal problems…

Another problem with your idea is that the extra product key would be linked to another person’s Norton account where you would not have access. It could well cause issues for you later unless they were a friend or relative.
And apart from everything everyone else has said it would be a breach of the licence agreement entered into by the other person if they provided the Key for an extra computer to someone not in their Household.
And in addition if they have a 3 PC licence of which they may only have used 1 PC and they gave you a copy of the KEY, if it worked, you would be able to install on 2 PCs. There is only one KEY which knows how many PCs it can be used on; not one KEY per installation.
It's a pity you did not ask Symantec before you bought the 3 PC licence if you had 4 PCs then since you can buy a 5 PC or a 10 PC version.

What you might do is contact Customer Support -- email would probably be smoother but on the other hand they are located in India!
To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there.
You can choose CHAT or Email; phone may have a long wait time.
Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.
explain your situation to them and see if they can work out anything that is more favorable for you.

It is the time of year when you should be able to find the product on sale for great discounts. Look around or look online. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Huwyngr, I couldn't have said it better myself.
Shanti72, please refrain from asking people for an activation key on these forums. I agree that our support team is very helpful; I'm sure they will work with you to get another activation.
I would also advise anyone reading this thread to NOT EVER give out your activation key information to anyone except a Customer Support Agent, and even then, the Agent should be able to access that information on his own.
