How can I find a folder that I had backed up on my old system (Windows 7 Home) with Norton Security Suite. And now I have Norton Online Security with my Windows 10 Education, and both systems and products were on the same computer?
Hi Duffman087:
Just checking in to see if you were able to locate your missing backup folder.
There was a recent issue for the retail version of Norton Security where a LiveUpdate delivered an incorrect v22.16.1.4 product update to some users that changed the product name from Norton Security to Norton Security Ultra and completely removed the Norton Backup feature for some users - see Todd D Wauchob's thread Vanished Backup. I don't think you could be affected by this bug since you have Comcast/Xfinity's free Norton Security Online and started this thread prior to the 23-Oct-2018 release of v22.16.1.4, but you might want open Norton Security Online and just confirm that your Norton Backup feature is displayed and enabled in the main interface.

Hi Duffman087:
If the Norton support article peterweb suggested <here> for restoring your files doesn't work, I'd suggest contacting Norton Customer Support via Live Chat at https://www.norton.com/chat. With your permission, they can start a remote access session to connect to your computer and they might be able to configure your Norton Security Online to access your old backup set.
I've never used Norton Backup or a Comcast/Xfinity version of Norton Security Suite (now replaced by Norton Security Online), but you might want to read Andmike's comments in the 2015 thread Norton Backup with Windows 10 Problem. Based on Andmike's comment in that thread about the backup problems caused by a Norton reinstall after a Win 10 upgrade, I suspect that the combination of upgrading from Win 7 to Win 10 and switching from Comcast/Xfinity's Norton Security Suite to Norton Security Online might mean that you've lost the ability to recover files from an old backup set you created when you were still running Win 7 / Norton Security Suite on your machine.
When you contact Norton Customer Support, be sure to tell them if you were backing up your files to your local hard drive, a USB external hard drive, or to their online (cloud) servers. If I recall correctly the paid version of Norton 360 Premium / Norton Security Premium comes with 25 GB of online (cloud) backup, while the free Comcast/Xfinity version of Norton Security Suite allowed (required?) users to backup files to a local drive.
