Hi. I went through about the same thing. 3 licenses and 3 computers and got the 4th one that would not be used. After a little work got 360 working on the new one. BUT, forgot all about "Identity Safe Data"! (how do you print or save that?) I do have 360 on an external HD that has Norton360-Engine-5.1.0.29- with lots of files and some folders. Might "Identity Safe" be there somewhere?

Sorry. I took 360 off of the old one first, did the down load on the new one with the KEY. That all went well. I would like to know if "Identity Safe" is some where on the external HD in Norton360 back up. Or what the name of that folder/file might be. It's all my pass words that I really want.
I don't think the Identity Safe data is automatically backed up by N360 backup. It is done through an option when you take off the old one or when you overinstall (meaning let the new installer remove the old one)...
You could export the Identity Safe data from any of the still funcitoning N 360 that you activated if they have the same logins -- that's a function within N 360.
You can't normally boot to an external drive so that is ruled out but are those files from an actual working installation that was used or are they, as suggested by HoboNeil, backups or even the installation files that Norton's Download Manager downloads before it proceeds to install N 360 from a download you bought from them or an upgrade?
If that disk was ever actually booted to then there could be Identity Safe data there.
I've suggested splitting off from your opening message and changing he Subject to something like:
Finding where Identity Safe data is filed
since it's not really about the licence.
You won't lose sight of it because a link will be left here.
I am not sure I understand your issue 100%, but if you have a drive with the Norton 360 engine and files, this may work for you.
Be sure your Folder Options are set to "Show hidden files and folders".
Search the external drive for IdentitySafeDataStore. Depending upon your previous operating system it may be located in a sub folder of Documents and Settings.
Expand the folders IdentitySafeDataStore > S-1-5-21-.... and copy just the contents of the S-1-5-21 .... folder to a new folder in a convenient location on the new installation. (Inside the folder you should see an IDDStore file and an IDDStore_bak file along with a number of favicons - copy all)
To restore the Identity Safe Data:
If you have not done so already, create an Identity Safe profile on the new installation. Do not import any IE logins.
Search for and locate the IdentitySafeDataStore on your new installation and make a note of it. In windows 7 x 64 the location is: C:\ProgramData\Norton\{0C55C096-....}\NIS_18.x.. or N360_5.x..\IdentitySafeDataStore\S-1-5-21-.... For other operating systems it may be located in a sub folder of Documents and Settings.

Is your computer still up and running? If yes there is possiblity of getting back your data (Provided you did not uncheck the option to save your data during the uninstall). Please reply.
If not having your Identity Safe data backed up to a .NPM file is the only way to get your data back.
