Need help removing Trojan.Gen.2 in a TEMP folder

For some reason my Symantec Endpoint Protection keeps popping up a message that I have files in quarantine.  When I look I have thousands of Trojan.Gen.2 but are all in a TEMP directory.  Norton cannot remove all of the quarantine files so I go in manually and remove ALL of them.  A little while later, they are back.  How can I find the cause of this? and How can I remove the Trojan.Gen.2??

Quads

Hello,

What version of SEP 11.x?

Upgrading to the latest available release of SEP will greatly reduce the number of "detections" of already quarantined threats.  Improvements to the processing were included in Release Update 7 Maintenance Patch 2 (RU7 MP2).

I would suggest you to check these Articles:

DWH***.tmp files are detected in the user profile temp directory.

When new virus definitions are in place and the quarantine is being scanned, a DWH file is created and detected by Auto-Protect

Hope that helps!!
