To all,
I need assistance if possible. I am unsure how I got this but I cannot seem to get rid of it.
I saw a screen come up for a second that showed something was downloading but the screen disappeared(the pop up screen only lasted a few seconds). It was like no screen that I had ever seen before, I recognized one of the words said Cache.
Here is the situation that I am now experiencing.
1) Any time I go to a website, a pop up will appear, the pop ups are mostly annoying (such as a questionnaire or having a car add play even though I didn't click on it).
I checked my Norton and Windows Pop Up Blocker and they both show on and active, Security Setting on my computer are medium high for cookies.
2) Now it gets strange, every time I do a scan with NIS2010, it always shows 2 tracking cookies no matter what. Example. I unplug my internet connection, and do a scan check. Let's say it shows 2 then I "fix" them. If I do another scan check (remember, I am not connected) it will show 2 again. I can "fix it" 20 times and it will still show 2.
3)I tried to do a system restore and it keeps failing saying that a file is protected and it can't complete a restore.
4)I have used SuperAntispyware (on full and Quick scans) and it will find a few tracking cookies and get rid of them but I am still having the same problems.
5) I have also used MalwareBytes Anti-Malware and it has not picked anything up on Full or Quick scans.
There is no problem with any clicking and I am not redirected to any websites. Nor do any pop ups appear that are not related to the webpage that I am currently on.
This may be a tough one but any help would be greatly appreciated,
