Need to disable smart firewall to access the internet if not using norton private browser

Issue abstract: whenever i have norton 360 premium smart firewall on I cannot access the internet - except I can with Norton private browser. So, Im always needing to turn off smart firewall. Doing my head in and Norton support is next to useless.

Detailed description: same as above.

Product & version number: norton 360 premium 25.8.10387 (build 25.8.10387.0)

OS details: windows 11

What is the error message you are seeing? the only error messages are from trying to connect to the internet. hmmmm looks like youre not connected to the internet

What did Norton support do (not do) that makes them next to useless?

What’s your W11 default browser?
You’ve cleared default browser cache n cookies"?
You’ve cleared W11 System Temp Files | DNS Cache?
Is “cannot access the internet”…after installing Norton Private Browser or from before installing Norton Private Browser?
Do you run 3rd party - Next DNS &or VPN?
Did you try Norton 360 Automatic Network Control → Windows Settings Mode?
Is “cannot access the internet” wired &or wireless?
Smart Firewall → Restore default settings = “cannot access the internet”?

Please confirm:
you’ve restarted your modem/router
you’ve flushed DNS cache
you’ve reset Winsock
you’ve run Norton LiveUpdate + Restart (not Shut down) machine
you’ve run Smart Firewall → Restore default settings
you’ve run CCleaner against System & browsers
you’ve run Norton 360 → Troubleshooting → Repair Norton
you’re run Norton 360 Troubleshooting → Reset to Default
you’ve clean re-installed Norton 360

Note: Reset to Default - resets Cloud Backup
