NEED to download a program but Norton won't let me

I have a program that I need to install on my computer for youth hockey registration.  The program is completely safe, unfortunately, the Norton program does not think so.  Does anyone know how I can temporarily disable Norton long enough to download the program and then enable it again?

Hi snsacre,

 

You can disable Download Intelligence temporarily for the time it takes to download the program.  Do not disable Norton Auto-Protect.

Thank you so much.  It took me a little bit in the settings to finally find "download intelligence" to disable and of course the auto-protect which I was not to touch I found quite easily.  All is done and the USA Hockey registration program is loaded.  Phew!

You're welcome. My apologies for my oversight in not providing directions to the setting, which I'm glad you were able to find anyway.

Download Intelligence setting is located as foolows:

 

Settings > Web > Download Intelligence > change to Off at top of page - Select Apply > select a time and OK.
