Why does Norton insist on using non-resizeable windows? I have a Surface Pro 9 on Windows 11 that I use with a docking station, so in addition to the built in LCD screen, sometimes there are two additional 24" monitors when docked. Frequently, a non-resizable Norton window will pop up that is completely unreadable and unusable due to its small size.
I first complained about this back in 2021 and here we are in 2024 and it's still an issue:

The problem is that no proposed solution has worked because it's inconsistent. Sometimes the window is fine and sometimes it pops up too small. It's like Norton gets confused about what size the window should be. Why can't the windows JUST BE RESIZEABLE! As a software engineer myself, I never understood why fixed windows are still used so prevalently; they are rarely truly needed.
I cannot be the only one who experiences this. So I am open to new suggestions because frankly, I am tired of this issue and ready to move to a different product. You can't get email support anymore, I am not sure how I can effectively explain this issue over the phone or chat, so I thought I would try posting here, again, and hope for the best.

Just an after thought. Is there a firmware update available and, had one recently been installed before this began taking place?

Thank you I don't want to sound ungrateful for the suggestions. I have always understood the "why" this happens, but my point is underscored from the page you provided:
Modern (UWP) apps always scale correctly. If there is a comparable modern app available, you can substitute that app to mitigate the scaling issues. For example, Edge is a modern app that does not cause the DPI Scaling issues that Internet Explorer might experience.
This is a 100% solvable issue on the software side, and I should not need to set my monitor to a non-optimal size to resolve this issue. If these were not fixed-size windows, I could resize them, or at least maximize them.

I can offer an article from Microsoft that focuses on exactly what I suggested, with some suggestions. Please review at your discretion. Just trying offer what my years of working with MS products have taught me. Trust the obvious, until, it isn't.

No the monitors and LCD panel are different resolutions. But even IF that was the issue, why should I need to run my screens at non-optimal sizes. This is literally the only app I have an issue with.
Yes Chrome is my default and again I should not have to change (won’t actually) to solve an issue with one app.
Hello Derek. Just shooting in the dark here not knowing more about your setup. My thought is, do ALL the monitors use the same resolution? A Chrome icon appears in the background as well, I have to ask is Google your preferred browser and does this happen using a different browser as default on the Surface?
