I am assuming you registered your account for N360 on the machine that fried?
Open the N360 you presently have with the 60 day trial. On the top row click on "My Account"
Click on "renew subscribttion"
Somewhere along the way you should find a place to enter your activation key. You shouldn't have to download anything
I tried putting the activation key in and it was too long. Too many numbers. What do you suggest?
Get to where you placed in your activation code and check the box above that one that says "I've already purchased a subscription. Please check my subscription status"
That should then go to your account and you'll place the new activation code there.
I'm not quite sure why the original place only holds 20 digits instead of the 25 digits you're given....
Hi cbran,
There should bean option to Activate Norton 360 in the "my account" area of the program open it and enter the 25-digit product key that you have in your nortonaccount in the boxes (5/ box) clik on the next button and you should get a confirmation on your subscription.

Correct.
This should work
You would think it would. However, the activation box that one looks at won't accept 25 digits only 20. So you have to back track to "Check my subscription" in order to get a box that will accept 25 digits.
I think it is because you are using Pre-installed trial ware. I know because I just went through it.... Very fustrating trying to type 5 digits and watch it skip to the next box after entering 4 ....Ahhhhgggg!
Thank you Donahu1. Sounds like you understand. I was trying to find Check my subscription and ended up registering it. I hope I didn't mess up. I still have time on subscription I want to transfer to this computer.
Where do I find Check my subscription? I appreciate your help. Thanks.
By the way, too bad they do not have a phone or chat line to help for free like they had years ago.

We do! Go to the following site for the FREE support:
hi cbran- go to "Tasks" then select "Activate Norton 360" you will get a screen that tells you the date that you last activated. It then says "If you would like to reactivate your product with a different Product Key, please click Next".
NOTE: Please do NOT do this until you have used your subscription fully because I believe that currently if you apply the new product key, I believe that the product will not be able to associate it to the old product key on the back end. This is something that is in process of being changed, but I do not think it has been applied yet.
