I had an old External Hard drive fail and had the info on it transferred by a data recovery company to a new Ext HD...but the file reads N360_backup and is filled with thousands of "compressed" files that I cannot read. I loaded a new version of N360, but that did not help. How can I restore those compressed photos?
Hello again. I'm following up to see whether the last suggestion gave you any positive results and can we assist further?
Cheers
Hello again. Drop a copy of Arestore into the other drives, execute the file from there locally. See if you can pull up the files.

SouAsylum I tried that, but it didn't work like I wanted on the old external hard drive. However, I did download the ARestore onto the external hard drive where the N360_Backup file is and it pulled the old file up. It appears the ARestore looks in it's current location (hard drive) for the N360_Backup file as I have additional N360_Backup files on other external drives which it did not locate. Hope that helps Paul Hbvue.
Hello Paul. Download ARestore.exe. Unzip the download. Follow the directions in this Norton article. Hopefully that will allow you to recover those files.
Cheers
