Network scan is giving DNS hijack error

Issue abstract: Norton 360 is giving “DNS Hijack found” error.

Detailed description: While doing network scan in Norton 360, I get the following error:
“DNS Hijack found”. I manually changed DNS setting in my router to 8.8.8.8 and also changed DNS setting in my windows machine to fetch DNS setting dynamically. But still getting the same DNS hijack error.

Hello. Skip this once and see if it reappears. This may just be an annoyance by Norton to use the VPN. If it reappears we can move forward with other suggestions.

Thanks SoulAsylum. I thought so. But wanted make sure that I don’t miss anything.

It started appearing immediately after the new upgrade.

But funny part is that Norton does not support VPN in my region and they still ask me to use VPN. :laughing:

@Rajesh_Joseph Its been a good while since the last post so I am following up to see if the issue still persists. Others are seeing this now on the latest 25.xx releases. May I suggest a factory reset of your router if things have not been solved. Please post your progress so we can assist further if needed.

My problem got resolved with a factory reset of my rounter.

After that never saw this issue again.

Just an observation:

I am running the latest version 25.xx.

I also faced the issue when I upgraded from an older version.
