I have a new computer. I have everything from my old computer backed up to N. Backup and the old computer is still running. However, I want to prepare the old computer to give it away. Should I stop the backups before I take files from the old computer? What is the best way to stop the backups? I don't want to back up a blank computer.
Can you tell me how to remove the online backup sets for a given computer, from a different computer? I had to reinstall N360 a few weeks ago and now the original backup sets have been de-linked from it. Going to the NOBU website from the same PC I can see the backup sets, but the only choices are to restore files, download files, or e-mail links, not to purge files or sets. Same thing if I visit NOBU from a different PC. And if I click on "Remove Computer," the next page that appears doesn't give ANY choices to do or select anything, except to click on the "Done" button.
How can I purge these backup sets to free up that storage space?
For more details on my situation, please see this thread as well as the thread that's linked to in there.

Unfortunately, when I open the Manage Backup Sets window and select the "Where" tab, "Delete Backed Pp Files" is grayed out and nothing happens when I click on it (see below).
N360 doesn't see the backup sets that were previously linked to the program on this PC. There is a brand-new "DefaultSet," but there are no files in it as I have not backed it up online or anyplace else.
If I go to the NOBU webpage and sign in, I can still see those previous backup sets and they even have this same PC's name on them, but there's no way to delete or purge them.
I recently had a chat session with Norton and gave the tech control of my computer. What he discovered what that going to the tray and the bottom of the computer and getting the commands from there solved a problem similar to this. WHen you right click on the tray icon for the backups, there are several commands available. I could not add folders to my backup within the online application, but I could using the command prompts in the tray icon.
That's a neat feature, but my problem is that the existing backup sets somehow got de-linked (disassociated) from my PC when I had to reinstall N360 and they're just taking up storage space. I can't delete those old backup sets from this PC or any other PC (either through N360 or by going to the Norton Online Backup site), nor have I found a way to re-link the sets to the original PC.
