New feature request: be able to export all Norton firewall settings into a file and import those settings from the same file while installing Norton on another device

A have a Norton 360 Deluxe subscription for 5 devices. So far have been running it only on one PC. I’d like to install Norton on my second laptop now. The problem is, I have a whole lot of custom settings in Norton firewall (including a long list of traffic rules, Application rules) and it looks like there is no way to save all of those settings in a config file and then import these settings from the file on another device. It would probably take me the whole day to do all of those settings manually on the second laptop. I’ve searched the Norton community and was struck to see that this feature was actually requested as far back as 2010 ! 12 years down the road and still no way to export the firewall settings (or rather ALL Norton settings including the firewall rules). A shout out to Norton developers: seriously, folks - you should have added this option a LONG time ago, since a number of other AV products have this feature for years. I know there’s an option to reinstall Norton on the same device with keeping all the settings, haven’t tested it though. But surely there’s no way to transfer the firewall settings onto another device in an easy export / import way and it’s a shame. Any chance of adding this option any time soon ?

It is very valuable reply that is related to astroworld store problems. Thanks a lot for it.

Well, if Norton 360 AV was targeting only basic users who don't really know how to write their own firewall rules, then why would Norton offer an advanced firewall in the first place ? A firewall that allows all sorts of fine tuning, rules creation based on different criteria, etc, etc. ?

I mean, it doesn't make any sense to pay for a subscription that includes 5 devices if it turns out to be such a pain to transfer all your settings from one device to another, right? Besides, other AV products that have export/import settings feature are not purely corporate either, they have this feat included in home editions for home users. So, I stick to my guns in saying it's an absolutely necessary and long overdue feature for anyone who uses at least half of the options offered by Norton firewall. But given that this request has been (I think it's fair to say) ignored by the Norton team for such a long time, I don't hold my breath :(

I know there's an option to reinstall Norton on the same device with keeping all the settings, haven't tested it though.

Unfortunately, even though the reinstall is on the same device, the firewall settings, and also backup set information, are not retained.

There have been many posts here, and some suggestions made in the  Product Suggestions board.  One example is here...   https://community.norton.com/en/forums/firewall-rules-exportexport-norton-360

One reason this has not been implemented may be that Norton is designed as a set and forget product for home users. Very few home users are likely to even know about firewall rules, so would not have a need for this feature.
