New Norton 360 Windows update giving problem with password vault manager App

Hi, Just had a wasted day trying to get my password vault working on a windows Laptop and PC. On one its was the Edge Norton Vault appand and other in Chrome browser, on both I had to log into my Norton account only to get a grey screen with blue rotating circle. The only way to get my vault access back was to remove the apps and reinstall. It looks like the new Norton 360 update may be the problem , so much for Norton saying you will not have to do anything when it updates !

Are you calling Norton Password Manager from Norton 360?
Try just calling Norton Password Manager from your browser.

Hi bjm, Thanks for your reply, This all started yesterday when I went to open my Windows 10 laptop Password Vault on Edge app. Was directed to log in to my Norton Account after logging in i got a grey screen with with blue rotating circle. As this didn’t resolve itself I removed the app and reinstalled , this time after being directed to my Norton account log again all was good. I then turned to my Chrome browser on the same laptop and after being directed to my Norton Account login again up came my vault. I locked both vaults and re-opened them with just my vault password. I then tried my windows 10 PC but this time it was the Chrome Norton password vault that ended up with the same grey screen with blue rotating circle. After delete and reinstalling app all was well, my Edge app on this PC worked fine after being directed to my Norton account yet again ! The reason I blame the new Norton 360 update is due to a message I found on my Norton 360 launch page that said I would not need to do anything once updated.

sounds reasonable

Well, just between us.
I’ve Reset to Default multiple times.
I’ve run Repair Norton multiple times.
I’ve reinstalled and clean installed multiple times.
I’ve experienced settings multiple times.
I’ve run all scans multiple times.
I’ve run Back Up This PC multiple times.
I’ve tested known malware samples multiple times.
I’ve restarted my machine multiple times.

v24 is lacking some v22 features/functions.
v24 functions/features/device protections feels different…albeit, feels solid.

Thanks for your confirmation, from your reply you skills are well above anything I would attempt to do. From what you say I take it the new update is called v24 and I have yet to explore other functions/features. Will do a search of Community posts with your information to see if I will have any other problems. Thanks again for help as I thought I may have been hacked.

Norton Password Manager has/had users report glitches with v22.
Your report may be v24 causal…or, just vagaries of running browser extensions.
