This is only my theory of what must be done.
First, collect the serial numbers of the 5 installations.
Second, find out what serial number corresponds to the key and or subscription you want to keep.
Third, completely uninstall the software that have the different serial numbers, those you don't want to maintain with renewed subscriptions. This means uninstalling without saving any settings in order to wipe out the serial numbers.
Four, reinstall from the copy that corresponds to the serial number and key of the subscription you want to maintain.
Five, chat with or call customer support and request to have your activations reset to the corresponding software copy and serial number.
A lot of work and only my opinion.
Hi NSM,(meant actually for Tech5654)
Allow me to welcome you to the Norton Community.
Uninstalling the software will not wipe away the keys. When you uninstall the software and even if you use the Norton removal tool it is designed to safeguard your product keys.
You really should contact Customer Service as Hugh said and do this before doing anything else. You've got a bit of an unusual situation but they should be able to help you sort through it. They also have access to make changes to your account and which computer is linked to which account, etc.
You will need to be able to tell them which Norton account each computer/product is linked to. From your description it sounds clear that you have multiple Norton accounts and have likely registered your Norton product with different email addresses.
tech5654, unfortunately this won't work since the Norton product key is retained regardless of how the product is uninstalled. Customer service has special access and I believe should be able to make these types of adjustments.
Please let us know how it goes.
Best wishes.

Thanks for correcting me on this! I have a similar situation though not quite as severe as the original poster. I have NIS running on 3 pcs and my subscription expires Mar 4th. I found Symantec's offering of NIS2011 bundled with the new Norton Utilities version 15.0.0.122 for 3 pcs and decided to just make a purchase for a few bucks more instead of just buying a years renewal.
I have a new laptop on the way and will be shuffling software around and much like the original poster, things can get kind of muddled in the process when it comes to licensed serialed numbered software copies and activations. I'll most surely be getting in touch with customer support myself to get things straightened out.
Hi tech5654,
I just want to understand your situation properly. So you have NIS currently installed on 3 computers with a single subscription. Is this correct?
You said you have a new laptop on the way and have purchased a bundle of NIS 2011 with Norton Utilities.
How many computers will you have in total in which you want to have NIS installed? Is the new laptop replacing one of your current computers or will you then have 4 computers in total?
If your new laptop is simply replacing one of the computers you currently have NIS installed on, then this should be pretty easy. As long as you do not activate NIS on any of the computers which will be replaced, with the new product key, you should not need Customer Service.
If this is not your situation we probably should split your issue off into a thread of its own so we can provide better assistance targeted to you and not confuse the issue with NSM.
Best wishes.
