Pages sometimes need a refresh to load correctly. Some webpages, including Norton’s support page error out after nearly 3 minutes. Some online games won’t run at all. I’ve sent logs, etc., but crickets! I Assumed when I was FORCED to accept this “update” it would migrate all my previously working settings. Things that were “Allowed” in firewall settings still show as Allowed, yet they seem to be blocked!!! If I turn VPN off, disable Auto-protect, and disable Smart Firewall, I still have all the same problems!! The only thing that fixes the problem is to uninstall Norton 360.
from what i can tell and i havent gone thru everything but my settings prior all seem to have converted ( remain the same) on the new build
I agree. The update is garbage. I lost all my anti-virus scan exceptions that I’ve had set up for years. I get those stupid non-stop browser notifications now as well every time it detects an issue with the site. Can’t even turn off browser protection permanently and you can’t specifically turn off the notifications either. This new update gives non-stop nagging notification whereas the previous version was almost invisible for me. Can’t even open MS word now without a nagging message asking for approval.
Good job people. Seems like you simply changed things for the sake of making everything different. Time to dump this crap and move on to something less “nanny-like”. I’m beyond annoyed with this.
I called the support center and they rolled me back to the prior version. They assured me I can update virus definitions and not risk the defective version reinstalling
How do i go about rolling back???
You have to call the support desk, and they have to remote in to delete the “new” and install the older working version.
